For 30 years, Sebastião da Manga has been growing, importing and exporting fresh fruit. What began with one man selling mangoes in Rio de Janeiro is now a group with 10 farms of its own, 700 hectares in production and more than 500 direct jobs.
The company remains a family business: founded by Sebastião Martins de Araújo, it is now also run by his sons, Robson and Ronaldo, who lead production and sales. The group comprises 6 companies in Brazil and Europe, with a warehouse at the CEASA wholesale market in Rio de Janeiro and its own distribution operations in Rotterdam, Málaga and Porto.
We serve supermarket chains, wholesalers, importers and distributors in Brazil, across South America — with a focus on Argentina, Chile and Uruguay — and throughout Europe. The United States is our next destination, with expansion already underway.
We operate 10 farms in the São Francisco Valley and Bahia — one of the world’s most productive regions for irrigated fruit growing. There we cultivate mangoes of the Palmer, Keitt, Tommy Atkins and Espada varieties, as well as Tahiti limes, ginger, guavas, Formosa papayas, green coconuts and cashew apples.
Our facilities have just gained a new 9,000-square-meter packing house, expanding our sorting, processing and packing capacity.
Farming at our own scale guarantees what matters most to volume buyers: consistency of supply, uniform grading standards and a harvest calendar that covers the whole year.

Our processes meet the standards of the most demanding markets, with sustainable practices and a firm commitment to conservation.
That includes a clear position: we do not contribute to deforestation — and we require the same standard from all raw materials supplied by our partners.
In Brazil, we operate from the CEASA wholesale market in Irajá, Rio de Janeiro, with a warehouse and the infrastructure to supply the entire region. Mango is our flagship product — in the Tommy Atkins, Keitt, Palmer and Espada varieties — alongside passion fruit, lemons, dry and green coconuts, pineapples, avocados, soursops, yellow melons, onions, garlic and ginger.
In Europe, we have three distribution hubs of our own: Rotterdam (Netherlands), Málaga (Spain) and Porto (Portugal) — a structure that allows us to serve retail chains and wholesalers across the continent with consistent supply.
We also import and distribute apples, pears, cherries, kiwis, nectarines, peaches, plums, grapes and garlic within the Brazilian market.
